THE FUTURE IS DEFINITELY PERSONAL AND MOBILE Mobile Assets, through its partnership agreement with Hybrid Strategies Corporation, is jointly developing Predictive Intelligence Technologies which will result in a number of applications that implement Artificial Intelligence in your cell phone. In other words, your cell phone, which will have constant access to a server that tracks your preferences, will become a true personal assistant for all types of tasks beyond use as a communications device. Mobile Assets calls this Mobile Intelligent Agent (MIA). The more you use MIA, the smarter it becomes. MIA is based on intelligent systems that today are running our nuclear facilities, military equipment, aerospace ventures and much more in fact, they have been all around us in various complexities since the late 90s. With the addition of Personal Profile Management capabilities, MIA becomes your clone in a phone.
MUCH MORE THAN SHOPPING The easiest analogies for everyday applications of artificial intelligence or fuzzy logic are in commerce engines used by companies such as Amazon, where the Web site suggests products based on your previous buying or viewing habits. The more it learns, the better the recommendations. Your phone could also act as a wallet, allowing you to pay for items, rather than using credit cards. While it pays, it also keeps track for you of what youve bought, which all becomes part of your profile. While this is useful, it goes much further in any potential interests in your personal or professional life. For example, it could notify you of new information available in a professional field of interest. |
It could gather information for you, and based on your interests, create a summary. It could serve to remind you of important events. If you bought a new piece of equipment, it could have all of the manuals and help files for that equipment in your profile, so if you need help, it would direct you to a solution (programming your phone, your car systems etc?) MIA technology also has numerous potential medical applications. If it learns what is normal for your body, in conjunction with an unobtrusive body monitor (say built into your wrist watch), it could warn you when your body is experiencing anything out of your normal range, and give you suggestions as to what it might be. |
A KEY GUIDING PRINCIPLE - YOUR INFORMATION BELONGS TO YOU Today, many corporations make it their business to gather, analyze and dissect personal information from a variety of sources including credit card purchases, drivers license records, real estate transactions etc. This is used for a variety of purposes including marketing, credit ratings and insurance rates. With MIA, your clone is anonymous to the world. When MIA works, it is not identified as being your clone, rather simply a clone with certain characteristics and experiences. It cannot automatically be traced back to you.
|
You may choose to reveal personal information during a transaction which MIA will do for you, but it will be a conscious decision. As we say, the future is personal and that means your information belongs to you. As the world becomes more complex, and we each process more information than ever before, a mobile personal assistant will become key to getting the best out of life and performing at a high level.
